Registration:

 

Are there minimum age requirements to participate?

The event has the following minimum age requirements:
Marathon – 18 years old on race day

Half Marathon – 13 years old on race day (accompanied by parent up to age 16)

5-Mile – 10 years old on race day (accompanied by parent up to age 16)

 

Is registration available at packet pickup or on Race Day?

Packet Pickup – Yes, you may register at packet pickup if the events have not reached capacity. If the event has reached capacity prior to packet pickup, then new registrations will not be accepted.

Race Day – No Registration, Limited Packet Pickup availability 

Online registration will close Thursday the week of the race at 5:00 pm, or when the event reaches capacity.

 

What do I receive with my registration?

All participants receive:

  • Free bus transportation to race start and back from finish area

Race merchandise will be available for purchase at or after the event.

 

May I transfer my registration from one race distances to a different distance?

You may downgrade in distance at any time up until the day before the race. You must officially switch distances.

i.e. If you are registered for the Marathon you have the option to switch to the Half Marathon or 5-mile, if you are registered for the Half Marathon you have the option to switch to the 5-Mile.

There is no refund for the difference of fees when downgrading your race distance.

You may also upgrade to a longer distance than the race distance you are registered for. In this situation you will be charged the difference of your registration fee and the current registration fee of the distance you would like to transfer to.

 

May I transfer or switch my bib/registration to another runner?

Race bibs are non-transferable.

 

May I defer my registration to next year?
Race registrations can not be deferred to a future event.

 

May I get a refund of my registration?
There are no refunds for any reason. All registrations are non-refundable.

 

What is the refund policy?

When you register for the event you are agreeing to the event refund policy which states:

There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers of registrations. This includes but not limited to injury, a scheduling conflict, Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster) and/or event cancellation.

 

When is Packet Pickup?

Packet pickup is Friday, September 15th 5:00-7:00pm and Saturday, September 16th 12:00pm – 5:00pm. Click here to see more on Packet Pickup

 

Can my friend or family member pick up my packet for me?

Yes, you may have someone else pickup up your packet for you.

 

Can I pick up my packet on race day?

There will be race day packet pickup available. You must reserve this option in advance and pay the additional $10 fee.

 

Is there a time limit to finish the race?

The marathon has a 5 hour time limit and 4 hours for the half marathon.

 

RACE DAY:

 

Can I run the race as an unofficial entrant?

No, you must be registered to participant in the event.  You will need to show your bib number to board the bus to get to the start of the race.

What time do I get on the bus?

Marathon: 4:30-5:00 am

Half Marathon: 5:00 – 6:00 am

5-Mile: 5:30 – 6:00 am

 

How long is the bus ride?

To Marathon Start ~45-60 mins

To Half Marathon start ~45-50 min

To 5-Mile start ~30-35 mins

 

What if I forget my bib number?
You will not be allowed to get on the bus. Your bib number is your bus pass.

 

Are there restrooms/port-a-johns available?

Yes, there will be restrooms/port-a-johns at the following locations:

Bus Loading Area – Poudre High School

Marathon Start Area

Half Marathon Start Area

5-Mile Start Area

Every Aid Station along the course

Finish Area

 

How many aid stations and where are they?

Marathon – 10 aid stations

Half Marathon – 5 aid stations

5-Mile – 2 aid stations

 

What is at the aid stations?

Each aid station will have awesome volunteers, water, electrolyte drink, first aid supplies, a portable toilet, communication to finish and EMS.  Please carry your own gels etc. and dispose of trash at aid stations.

 

Are there finisher medals?

All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal upon crossing the finish line.

All participants will receive an event pint cup at the finish line to be used for water and/or beer at the post race party.

 

May I wear headphones or earbuds?

Headphones/earbuds are strongly discourage during the race! This is a safety issue as the canyon road is still open to traffic. You need to be able to hear vehicles and others around you.

 

Are strollers allowed?

Strollers, wheelchairs, roller or inline skates, skateboards, scooters, bikes, or any device with wheels, are not allowed on any of the race courses. The race is a downhill course on a curvy highway, for safety reasons it is a foot race only.

 

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are NOT ALLOWED in any of the race distances.

 

SPECTATORS:

 

Can my friends and family park at the finish area?

Spectators are encouraged to come to the finish area to celebrate your race with you. The parking area at the Finish will open at 7:00 am and there is a $10 fee (cash only) to park. All funds collected for parking are donated to the race beneficiary groups.

No Parking along Hwy 14 or Hwy 287.

 

Are dogs allowed?

We love dogs too!  However, dogs are not allowed in the races.
